EARLY COLLEGE ACADEMY

Early College Academy is a public charter school sponsored by the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio.  Our mission is to educate all students according to their academic needs and personal interests, and prepare them for personal success in life, their chosen career, for life-long learning, and for contributing positively to their communities.

The school serves students from 16-22 in Franklin and its contiguous counties who are either one cohort age behind or have experienced crises that have interfered with their academic progress.  Most of our students will be first generation college students.  It is our mission to help those students transition from high school to college successfully.  While at ECA students are given the opportunity to earn college credits.    All of our teachers are certified by the Ohio Department of Education and we currently have a partnership with Ohio Dominican University.

 Dear Parent/Guardian:

On Thursday, February 12, 2015, Early College Academy will be holding Parent/Teacher conferences from 2:30-4:30pm and again from 5:30-7:30pm.  This will be an opportunity for you to meet your student’s teachers and discuss his or her progress thus far this semester.   Appointments are encouraged but not necessary.  You can contact teachers directly via email or call the school at (614) 298-4742.

In addition, to prepare our students for the Ohio Graduation Test, tutoring sessions are offered daily from 8:30-9:00am.  Please encourage your student to be on time to school in order to participate in this opportunity to prepare for the OGT.  The OGT will be administered during the week of March 16-20, 2015.

Please contact Ms. Suzanne Robertson, Counselor, at (614) 298-4742 x205, or srobertson@ecacolumbus.com  if you have any questions regarding Parent/Teacher conferences or OGT tutoring sessions.  Thank you for your continued support of your student and of Early College Academy!

 Sincerely,

Ms. Paris Huggins, Superintendent                                                                    Dr. Michael Jackson, Chief Academic Officer
